Celine Conde: "Kazan is one of the best places where I have wrestled in my career"

A sambo athlete from France Celine Conde became a silver medalist of European Sambo Championship in Kazan in the weight category of up to 68 kg. In the final fight she lost to a Russian Margarita Gurtsieva. About her first medal in a continental championship, a second chance next time, as well as volunteers who help solve all the problems, Celine told in an interview to the FIAS’s site.

"When I fight in the finals I only think about gold. Today I could not win it. Well, next time I will be the first. This silver in Kazan has been my first medal at a European Sambo Championship. It is a great joy and a great pleasure for me. I hope this is just the beginning, and in the future I will be able to win more and more medals", - said the Frenchwoman.

Celine Conde noted a high level of organization of the European Championship in Kazan.

"The arena where we wrestled is one of the best sports complexes where I’ve been in my whole career. Organizers have created absolutely all the conditions for the athletes. I would also like to note the volunteers who help us in all matters and introduce us to the history and sights of Kazan. We all feel very welcome here!"
